Bhubaneswar-based startup EagleAI uses its ZIVANKH platform and artificial intelligence to streamline outpatient care and medical consultations

Time is one of the most critical resources in healthcare. Long queues, administrative paperwork, manual history-taking continue to challenge healthcare systems across the country. As facilities grapple with high patient volumes and increasing pressure on medical professionals, a Bhubaneswar-based startup has developed an artificial intelligence-driven solution to address this challenge and improving efficiency in outpatient care.
Founded in 2023 and incubated at the IIT Bhubaneswar Research and Entrepreneurship Park, EagleAI Private Limited, through its flagship healthcare platform ZIVANKH, is developing an AI-powered system designed to streamline patient consultations and improve healthcare delivery.
ZIVANKH integrates artificial intelligence, natural language processing, optical character recognition, cloud-based technologies, and medical sensing devices to support patient intake and pre-consultation processes. The system can collect patient information in multiple languages, capture vital parameters, digitise medical reports, and generate structured summaries that can be reviewed by doctors before consultations.
The startup was founded by Vivek Kumar Gupta, an engineer by profession, who identified the need for technology-assisted healthcare workflows while observing challenges faced by healthcare providers. The venture received technical mentorship from IIT Bhubaneswar and clinical guidance from AIIMS Bhubaneswar during its development phase.
One of the key challenges encountered by the team was the limited availability of healthcare datasets required for training artificial intelligence models. To overcome this, the startup invested significant time in generating and synthesising data to develop and validate its technology.
The platform has moved beyond the prototype stage and is currently focused on deployments and collaborations with healthcare institutions. The company has raised approximately ₹1.5 crore to support product development and implementation.
The solution is intended for use across hospitals, medical colleges, diagnostic centres, Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs), and public healthcare institutions. The emergence of healthcare technology startups such as EagleAI reflects a growing focus on digital health solutions in Odisha.
