Startups across Latin America raised a combined $62.35 million this week, based on disclosed funding rounds, with investor capital flowing primarily into fintech, spanning corporate benefits, vehicle financing, open finance, cross-border payments, and financial services for small businesses. Energy technology also attracted significant investment, while WhatsApp infrastructure secured early-stage funding to expand across global markets.

Here are the biggest disclosed startup funding rounds across Latin America this week.
1. Flash, $28.8M (R$150M), Fintech, Brazil
Flash operates a platform that brings corporate benefits, employee management, and company expenses into a single system, helping businesses manage areas such as meal benefits, HR processes, and corporate spending. The company serves more than 60,000 clients and more than 2 million employees.
The company raised a $28.8 million (R$150 million) Series D led by Battery Ventures and Kevin Efrusy, with participation from Endeavour Catalyst. Flash will use the funding to accelerate product development, including an AI copilot for HR processes, deepen its use of artificial intelligence, and expand its sales team.
2. Bia Energy, $18.5M, Colombia
Bia Energy is a technology-enabled energy company that helps businesses monitor and manage their electricity consumption through smart metering, consumption analytics, and digital tools. The company serves more than 4,000 businesses in Colombia and is expanding beyond energy commercialisation into distributed solar generation and software.
They raised $18.5 million in a round led by Kaszek, with participation from Endeavour Catalyst, RA Capital, EWA Capital, and the Inter-American Development Bank. The funding will support Bia’s expansion into solar generation and utility software as it develops three business lines.
