Italian LegalTech company Lexroom has acquired Bulgarian startup Praven Intelekt in full. The move establishes the firm’s first foothold in Central and Eastern Europe. Praven Intelekt has developed an AI platform for Bulgarian law, counting more than 20,000 registered users and over 900 customers. The founders and team of Praven Intelekt are joining Lexroom and will drive expansion in Bulgaria and across the CEE region.
Praven Intelekt Offers AI Platform for Legal Professionals
The acquisition marks Lexroom’s entry into the Bulgarian market, following earlier expansions into Germany and Spain. Praven Intelekt was founded in 2025 by Siyanna Lilova, Rangel Milushev, and Christian Tsanov. In little more than a year, the startup built a specialized AI platform for legal professionals. The five-person core team reached around 1,500 weekly active users and gained access to nearly 1.2 million legal documents from 18 official Bulgarian and European sources.
Paolo Fois, Co-Founder and CEO of Lexroom, commented: “This acquisition marks an important step in our European expansion. Praven Intelekt stood out for the quality of its team, the traction it achieved in a very short time, and the depth of the product built specifically for Bulgarian legal professionals.” Legal AI, he noted, cannot simply be scaled through translations. Every market requires local legal data, jurisdictional knowledge, and an understanding of how professionals actually work.
Lexroom Provides Access to a New Scale
Siyanna Lilova, Co-Founder of Praven Intelekt, will become Head of Central and Eastern Europe at Lexroom, leading the company’s regional growth going forward. She explained: “We built Praven Intelekt because we wanted to bring a best-in-class solution to the legal market in Bulgaria. Lawyers needed AI tailored to the realities of local law, not a generic tool. Joining Lexroom allows us to preserve that local depth while operating at an entirely different scale.” Praven Intelekt’s technology, datasets, and local expertise will be gradually integrated into Lexroom’s platform.
Lexroom has developed an AI operating system for legal work, supporting law firms, legal departments, and organizations in researching, analyzing, and drafting legal content faster, more reliably, and at scale. Founded in 2023, the startup now serves more than 20,000 customers, employs over 200 people, and has built its technology on more than 13 million legal sources.
In summer 2026, Lexroom surpassed €20 million in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR). In May 2026, the company secured a $50 million Series B led by Left Lane, bringing its total funding to over $73 million. The long-term ambition: Lexroom aims to become the AI operating system for legal work, uniting legal research, drafting, document analysis, and further professional workflows on a single platform.
