English education startup MyTeacher Korea said on Sunday it has launched its AI-based English descriptive writing learning service, MyTeacher.
The company said MyTeacher supports English sentence writing and correction for students from fifth grade in elementary school through prospective first-year high school students.
It analysed 1 million sentences students got wrong, extracted 750 core sentence structures and reflected them in grade-level learning courses, the company explained.
Learners complete English sentences by combining suggested words. If they make mistakes, they receive AI explanations of the errors. Learning then continues by rewriting the same sentence. The recommended daily study time is 10 to 20 minutes.
MyTeacher Korea said the learning system is also being used in liberal arts English classes at Gyeongsang National University, Korea University of Technology and Education and Hansung University.
Lim Sung-shin (임성신), co-CEO of MyTeacher Korea, said, “We will support descriptive writing learning through the process of students writing English sentences themselves and correcting errors.”
