An event where visitors can see how artificial intelligence will analyze personal financial data to deliver tailored services, and learn asset management strategies, will be held in Seoul’s Yeouido district. It will also support fintech startups seeking investment and commercialization, and connect job seekers with financial companies.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government said on the 25th that it will host Seoul Fintech Week 2026 from the 26th to the 28th at the Conrad Seoul and the IFC complex in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo District. This year’s event, co-hosted with the Financial Supervisory Service and Shinhan Financial Group, carries the theme “AX-Based Digital Finance Transformation: Finance That Knows Me.”
At the opening ceremony on the 26th, the city government and Shinhan Financial Group will give awards to three top companies from their Finnovation Challenge program. Shin Won-keun, chief executive of Kakao Pay, will then deliver a keynote speech on the theme of “An AI Finance Agent Just for Me.” Expert sessions will also be held on the AI transformation of finance and on global fintech cooperation.
Programs for corporate growth and job creation are also planned. On the 26th and 27th, about 21 companies will run promotional booths and a recruitment hall. The recruitment hall will match companies with job seekers in advance and hold one-on-one interviews on site.
A demo day for fintech startups seeking investment will be held on the 27th. Six companies selected by the Second Seoul Fintech Lab and Naver Cloud, and 12 selected by Seoul Fintech Lab and Industrial Bank of Korea, will present their technologies and business models. Top performers will be offered placement at the fintech labs along with opportunities for technology verification and collaboration.
On the 28th, a digital finance seminar will cover AI agents, the tokenization of finance and stablecoins. Lectures for the public on asset management and on changes in the financial environment in the AI era will also be held. The event is free and open to all, with further details available on the official website.
“We will strengthen the foundation of the financial industry and actively support the growth of fintech companies, while expanding cooperation among financial institutions, companies and investors to become a global financial hub,” said Kim Hyun-woo, head of the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s economic affairs office.
