Premium children’s lifestyle brand Rosada has secured an undisclosed investment from actor and entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty Kundra as part of a strategic partnership aimed at supporting the startup’s expansion in India.
Founded by Shalu Agarwal and Bhupesh Agarwal, Rosada specialises in premium products for babies and young children, including bags, bedding, travel accessories, décor items and everyday essentials.
The investment comes after the startup’s appearance on Shark Tank India, where it secured backing from three investors. Rosada said its revenue nearly doubled following the programme.
It plans to use the new funding to expand into new markets, broaden its product range and strengthen its workforce through hires across design, marketing and operations.
In a statement, Shetty Kundra said the brand’s quality and design were key factors behind her decision to invest.
“What drew me to Rosada was straightforward: the product spoke for itself. The design sensibility, the quality of materials, the attention to detail, it is the kind of brand you instantly recognise as different,” she said.
“As someone who has experienced it as a parent first, I am backing this with full conviction. Rosada has everything it takes to become the definitive kids’ lifestyle brand in India.”
Rosada has built its position in the premium children’s market through in-house design and manufacturing capabilities. The startup said this allows it to maintain quality standards across its product portfolio.
According to the brand, its customer base includes a number of high-profile names, among them Kareena Kapoor Khan, Neha Dhupia, Soundarya Rajinikanth and Mira Kapoor.
“Rosada has been built with a very clear point of view: design-led, quality-first, and deeply relevant to how modern Indian parents think about their children’s world. Having Shilpa Shetty Kundra come on board is a defining moment and strengthens our confidence to move forward with a much larger vision,” Shalu Agarwal said.
