AI-powered education startup YoLearn.ai has raised $500,000 in a pre-seed funding round at a valuation of $5 million. The round was co-led by DataAlpha.ai and White Swan Global, with participation from a group of angel investors.
The company said the fresh capital will be used to scale its AI tutoring products, including its voice-first audiovisual tutor with live sketchpad capabilities, and expand its reach across India’s school and competitive exam ecosystem.
Founded in January 2025 by Kirti Prakash Mishra, YoLearn.ai has developed a voice-first AI tutoring platform that enables students to learn through real-time conversations. The platform also includes a live interactive sketchpad, allowing the AI tutor to draw diagrams, solve problems visually, and explain concepts in a way that closely resembles a teacher teaching on a whiteboard.
The platform serves K-12 students following NCERT, CBSE, ICSE, and various state board curricula. However, the company says its highest usage comes from students in Grades 9 to 12, who are preparing for both board examinations and competitive entrance exams such as JEE, NEET, and CUET.
According to YoLearn.ai, its content is mapped with 100% syllabus accuracy across both board and competitive exam curricula. The AI tutor personalizes explanations based on each student’s learning pace, preferred language, and identified knowledge gaps.
One of the platform’s key features is support for voice interactions in 22 Indian languages, including Hindi and Hinglish, making learning more accessible for students across the country. It also offers AI tutor personas inspired by the teaching styles of popular educators, along with AI Avatar versions of real school teachers for partner institutions.
YoLearn.ai is available as a web application through yolearn.ai and as native mobile apps under the name YoTutor.ai on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Across all its platforms, the company has crossed 200,000 cumulative users.
The startup operates in the rapidly growing AI education space and competes with companies such as SiglQ.AI, Fermi.AI, Arivihan.AI, CK-12, MagicSchool.AI, and Lytmus.AI.
With the new funding, YoLearn.ai plans to strengthen its AI-powered tutoring capabilities while expanding its presence across schools and competitive exam preparation segments in India.
