Pune startups raised $450 Mn or more across 39 deals in 2025, the most recent full-year read on the city, extending a cumulative $4.7 Bn or more raised across 380 deals since 2014. On fintech, Pune startups have drawn about $800 Mn since 2014.
Nationally, fintech was India’s most funded sector in H1 2026 at $1.3 Bn, down 19% from $1.6 Bn a year earlier. Pune’s fintech base is led by consumer-credit and cards names such as OneCard.
OneCard is the city’s fintech unicorn. The mobile-first credit-card startup became India’s 104th unicorn in July 2022 after raising about $100 Mn in a Series D led by Temasek, which valued it at roughly $1.25 Bn, and has raised close to $120 Mn in total from backers including Sequoia Capital and QED. Alongside it sits Fibe, the lending platform formerly known as EarlySalary, which has raised close to $300 Mn since 2015, including a $90 Mn Series E led by TR Capital and Trifecta Capital, and has filed for a roughly INR 750 Cr IPO as it scales its consumer-lending book.
The base extends beyond those two. Crypto-investing platform Mudrex raised a Pre-Series A round backed by QED Investors, Arkam Ventures and Tribe Capital to expand across India and international markets, showing that Pune’s fintech is not confined to lending and cards. Between a cards unicorn, an IPO-bound lender and a digital-assets platform, the city’s cohort spans several distinct fintech models rather than one.
That spread matters in a national market where fintech capital, while still the largest sector pool, is being deployed more cautiously than at its peak. Pune’s larger names have leaned on demonstrated lending economics and, in Fibe’s case, a public-market path, positioning the city’s leaders to keep raising even as sector funding cools. Fibe’s move toward an IPO in particular signals a maturing base: rather than chasing the next private round, its most-scaled lender is preparing for public scrutiny of its book, a milestone few city ecosystems outside the metros have reached. With that, here is the list of the top funded fintech startups in Pune, ranked by total funding.
