Primerry plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its research and development pipeline, expand its founding team, and increase distribution across key Indian markets.
Pediatric healthcare startup Primerry has raised INR 7.1 crore (approximately $760,000) in a pre-seed funding round to strengthen product development, expand clinical expertise, and build distribution across India.
Founded by Rushabh Nandu and Dr. Nihar Parekh, the round saw participation from investors including Ashish Kacholia and Lashit Sanghvi, along with angel investors Mohit Sadaani, Hitesh Dhingra, Ajay Mehra and Samir Palod, as well as select family offices.
Primerry plans to use the fresh capital to strengthen its research and development pipeline, expand its founding team and increase distribution across key Indian markets.
The company is developing everyday healthcare products specifically for children aged 2 to 14 years, with a focus on taste, ease of use and clinical considerations. Primerry said its product portfolio is intended to address gaps in pediatric healthcare products, where many existing offerings are based on conventional formulations.
The startup will roll out its portfolio in phases. Its full range of eight SKUs, priced between INR 499 and Rs 1,499, will initially be available through its direct-to-consumer (D2C) platform. Primerry also plans to enter quick-commerce channels within its first year.
Alongside its healthcare products, the company has launched PocDoc, a customizable carry case with charms designed to help children carry their Primerry products.
Primerry also plans to establish an offline distribution network through pharmacies, pediatric clinics and mom-and-baby specialty stores. The rollout will begin in Tier-1 cities and metropolitan markets.
The company said the funding will support the next phase of its product development and market expansion as it builds its pediatric healthcare portfolio in India.
