MyFranchise ’s ‘MyFcha’, a startup preparation platform, has been selected for the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ private investment-led technology startup support program ‘Deep-tech TIPS’ and is moving forward with the advancement of its AI-based franchise operation platform.
Deep Tech TIPS is a program that selects deep tech startups with technological capabilities and business potential and provides research and development (R&D) funding of up to 1.5 billion won. Through this selection, MyFranchise has secured R&D funds for the next three years to develop AI-based franchise operation technology.
MyFrCha currently provides information on over 10,000 franchise headquarters and has secured data including 10 million cumulative startup information views and over 90,000 cumulative startup inquiries. The company explained that in this evaluation, these big data assets and AI agent development capabilities were recognized as core competitive advantages.
Launching a ‘Franchise AI Operating System’ Based on 1 Billion Data Points
The company believes that existing general-purpose AI models suffer from a ‘hallucination’ problem, generating misinformation because they fail to adequately reflect the complex business structures and legal constraints of the startup market. Accordingly, MyFcha has been developing an AI structure that enhances information reliability by utilizing its own accumulated startup data of over 1 billion records and knowledge graphs.
In particular, it is characterized by a design that combines the Fair Trade Commission’s disclosure statements with internal franchise data, enabling the AI to go beyond simple keyword searches and analyze correlations between commercial location, brand competitiveness, and industry characteristics.
Based on this, MyFcha is pursuing the establishment of an ‘Intelligent Operating System (Agentic OS)’ specialized for the franchise industry, going beyond a simple startup information platform.
Moving forward, there are plans to commercialize a ‘Multi-AI Agent System’ that supports the entire process from business exploration to franchise contracts. The strategy is to provide AI services optimized for the franchise startup market, which requires high-involvement decision-making, through automated startup consultations, ultra-precise commercial area analysis, and the structuring of offline startup procedures and recommendations for execution paths.
Kim Jun-yong, CEO of MyFranchise, stated, “We aim to resolve the issue of information asymmetry in the franchise market based on our proprietary data and AI technology,” adding, “We will build an AI-based intelligent operating system that can be utilized not only by franchisors and prospective entrepreneurs but also by the financial and offline retail industries.”
Meanwhile, MyFranchise, the operator of MyFranchise, secured a Series B investment worth 9.5 billion won in 2022 from Woori Venture Partners , IMM Investment , Kolon Investment , and Naver D2SF .
