Union Home Minister Amit Shah today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has nurtured a new culture of education, skills, innovation, and startups across the country over the past 12 years. In a social media post, Mr. Shah said that, due to the various policies undertaken by the Prime Minister, India has the world’s second-largest higher education network. He added the country has also emerged as the second-largest AI talent pool, and, with over 2 lakh startups and as the third-largest startup ecosystem.
The Home Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the country has also witnessed immense growth with skill development of over 60 million youth. In addition, more than 120 million Mudra loans and over 300 space startups stand as proof that today’s youth are not job seekers, but job creators. Mr Shah further noted that with over 1200 universities, including IIT and AIIMS, more than 1000 Khelo India Centres, and 34 State Centres of Excellence, the youth are also setting new benchmarks in the field of sports.
