OpenAI has unveiled a new partner network designed to help businesses move from experimenting with artificial intelligence to embedding it across their operations, the company recently announced. The programme, backed by an initial $150 million investment, will aim to train and certify 300,000 consultants by the end of 2026.
According to OpenAI, as per the official announcement, the main barrier to enterprise adoption is no longer the capability of its models, but the difficulty organisations face in identifying the right use cases, redesigning workflows, and managing the human and technical demands of large-scale change. The partner network is intended to fill that gap by connecting customers with firms that offer industry expertise, delivery capacity, and systems integration.
Partners will be grouped into three tiers, Select, Advanced, and Elite, based on sales performance, technical skill, and deployment experience, OpenAI details in an official blog post. Over time, participants will also be able to earn specialisations in areas such as the company’s Codex tool, cybersecurity, and autonomous agents, allowing customers to identify firms with proven expertise in particular fields. For the most complex enterprise projects, OpenAI is also piloting a Forward Deployed Experts programme that will align qualified partner staff more closely with its own engineering teams.
The programme launches with a select group of global firms spanning systems integration, management consulting, technology, and data services. OpenAI described the partner network as central to its strategy of expanding AI adoption, arguing that no single company can deliver every solution in every market. The company said the ecosystem would help customers access AI in ways that are “practical, trusted, and aligned to their needs.”
