Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) said Wednesday it will showcase a wide range of new healthcare technologies at “VivaTech 2026,” Europe’s largest startup and tech expo held in Paris, France.
At the event, which runs from Wednesday through Saturday, Samsung Electronics will exhibit customized healthcare technologies across five areas—sleep, activity, diet, mental health, and vital signs—under the theme “An Invitation to a Healthier Tomorrow.”
The company will first introduce new features of Samsung Health 7.0. Samsung Health is an application that provides various healthcare functions by linking with mobile products such as Galaxy smartphones and the Galaxy Watch. The latest version, 7.0, has added a feature that measures a heart health score and daily aerobic load, allowing users to monitor cardiovascular health in daily life.
The company will also introduce a solution it is developing in cooperation with Xealth, a U.S. digital healthcare company it acquired last year. Xealth supports a digital health platform that allows medical staff to check patient conditions and prescribe treatment in real time. Samsung Electronics plans to link this platform with Galaxy smartphones to help medical staff manage patient health outside the hospital.
Samsung Electronics will also unveil a diet management feature through its AI home appliance, the “Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator.” The refrigerator’s “AI Food Manager” easily manages the inflow and outflow of ingredients in the refrigerator and recommends ingredients and recipes. The pet healthcare solution “Lifet” helps identify dental diseases, patellar luxation, and cataracts in pets simply by taking a photo.
Samsung Electronics will also operate an “Open Care Lab” introducing the “AI Beauty Screen” developed in collaboration with Amorepacific, “Visual Meditation” for Samsung TVs developed in collaboration with meditation service startup Kurz, and an AI skin and scalp analysis solution from Beacon, a company that originated as an in-house venture.
