Startups across Africa and the Middle East raised a combined $30.82 million this week, based on disclosed funding rounds tracked by Techloy, with investor capital flowing primarily into fintech and AI infrastructure. Deals were smaller and more spread out than in recent weeks, with the two largest checks tied at $10 million each.

The Week’s Largest Startup Funding Rounds
Here are the biggest disclosed startup funding rounds across Africa, the Middle East and Israel this week.
1. Epic Markets, $10 million, Fintech, UAE
Epic Markets is building a brokerage platform that brings institutional-grade trade execution to individual investors across multiple asset classes. Karatage provided the money as the company’s first disclosed funding round. Epic Markets will use it to build out the platform and its technology ahead of launch.
2. Modus, $10 million, AI infrastructure, Israel
Modus helps enterprise AI agents work with the right context instead of just more raw data, building what it calls a “Context Warehouse” that continuously learns how a business actually operates. Insight Partners led the seed round, joined by Soma Capital and a group of Israeli tech executives and founders. Modus, whose 12 employees are all based in Israel, raised the round as it continues building out the platform.
