BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Tuesday night, seven finalists faced off in a Shark Tank style competition and one lucky founder took home the $20,000 grand prize.
Inside of the Musikfest Cafe, seven founders took the stage for the annual StartUp Lehigh Valley competition presented by Lehigh University and hosted by WFMZ-TV’s Bo Koltow and Karin Mallett.
The contest showcases several different industries. From healthcare to AI, the finalists showed off their innovations, products and solutions in front of a panel of three expert judges.
Each founder delivered their three-minute pitch and answered questions.
In the end, Skypreme Resolve, an Allentown-based regulatory intelligence engine that makes things safer for pharmaceutical patients, took home the grand prize.
“I think one of the first things we’re gonna do is we want to truly start approaching more and more companies take this idea further. And we also wanna define our technology or platform as we go,” said Rashmeet Sangari, CEO and founder of Skypreme Resolve. “I feel like now we can truly use the funds to change the world here.”
Several other founders took home smaller prizes from the competition.
