Bengaluru startups raised $2.7 Bn across 165 deals in H1 2026, more than half of all money that went into Indian startups in the first half, up 8% in value with deal count up 15% year on year. The city is India’s clear fintech capital, its fintech startups having raised about $10 Bn across 382 deals since 2014, the most of any Indian city.
In full-year 2025, Bengaluru led all hubs with $4.6 Bn or more across nearly 300 deals, up 35% in capital and 13% more deals than 2024. Nationally, fintech stayed the most funded sector in H1 2026 at $1.3 Bn, and Bengaluru holds a large share of that base, home to fintech names such as PhonePe, CRED and Zerodha. Of India’s 26 fintech unicorns, a majority are headquartered in the city, and about 76% of all Indian fintech funding deals since 2014 have been concentrated in Bengaluru and Delhi NCR.
The city’s success rests on a robust investor ecosystem of venture capital firms, angel investors and seed funds, a supportive Karnataka Startup Policy, and a steady pipeline of technical talent from premier institutions. With India’s fintech user base projected to reach 837 Mn by 2028 and the overall market opportunity expected to grow to $2.1 Tn by 2030, Bengaluru is well-positioned to drive continued innovation in digital payments, wealthtech and other financial services.
