Wippi Raises $1.2 Million Seed Round to Scale Voice AI and Screen-Free Learning Products – D2c Insider Pulse

Bengaluru-based children’s technology startup Wippi has raised $1.2 million in a seed funding round led by 12 Flags, with participation from Warmup Ventures, Ventana Ventures, and Ruvento Ventures.

The fresh capital will support the company’s next phase of growth, including advancing its conversational voice AI platform, expanding its engineering and AI teams, strengthening manufacturing capabilities in India, and accelerating its direct-to-consumer (D2C) business. Wippi also plans to introduce more characters, additional language options, and a larger portfolio of original educational content.

Founded by Rishabh Singhi and Siddhartha Jain, Wippi is building screen-free learning experiences that combine conversational artificial intelligence, storytelling, and interactive play for children. The company’s current product portfolio includes Character Cards, illustrated storybooks, and Wippi Radio, all designed to encourage learning through conversation rather than traditional screen-based engagement.

At the core of Wippi’s platform is its voice AI technology, which allows children to engage in two-way conversations with well-known characters such as Ram, Krishna, Alice, Cinderella, and Aladdin. Instead of passively consuming content, children can ask questions, make decisions, and actively participate in stories, creating a more immersive and interactive learning experience. The products are designed for children aged four years and above.

With the new funding, Wippi aims to reach 15,000 families over the next 12 months while preparing for expansion into international markets. Alongside its existing portfolio, the startup is developing collectible figurines and additional AI-powered conversational learning products, broadening its ecosystem of educational experiences.

The funding comes as parents increasingly seek alternatives to excessive screen time while embracing technology that promotes creativity, learning, and meaningful interaction. Wippi’s approach combines artificial intelligence with storytelling to create engaging educational experiences that encourage curiosity and active participation.

By investing simultaneously in technology, content, manufacturing, and D2C expansion, the company is positioning itself to build a scalable children’s technology brand from India. Its focus on conversational AI, localized content, and screen-free engagement reflects an emerging category within educational technology that prioritizes interactive learning without relying on traditional digital screens.

As AI continues to reshape education, Wippi is building a platform that blends innovation, storytelling, and play to create a differentiated learning experience for young children in India and beyond.
