1. What is your company in 2–5 words?
AI-powered clinical mental health SaaS.
2. Why is now the time for your company to exist?
The World Health Organization states that 1 in 4 people will suffer from a mental health issue in their lifetime. This growing demand is clashing with a critical shortage of clinical psychologists across public systems; there is a current deficit of 150,000 specialists in the EU alone, a gap that will only widen in the coming years. Meanwhile, therapists dedicate up to 40% of their time to administrative tasks rather than patient care. Now is the time to provide clinical AI technology that empowers professionals to handle this growing demand efficiently.
3. What do you love about your team, and why are you the ones to solve this problem?
Our founding team perfectly balances clinical psychology, technology and business: myself, the CEO, with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and 19 years of corporate and startup experience, the CSO Rocio holds a PhD in Psychology with over 14 years of clinical experience and the CPO brings full-stack development expertise. We understand both the technological possibilities and the strict clinical boundaries required to succeed. Furthermore, this core leadership is powerfully complemented by 3 full time employees (2 PhD in Psychology and a software developer with 25 years of experience) currently growing, and a network of dedicated collaborators and expert advisors, bringing deep, specialized knowledge across technology, psychology, and business development.
4. If you weren’t building your startup, what would you be doing?
I would likely be working at the intersection of corporate innovation and deep tech. Before Loomee, I spent over 13 years at Airbus and mentored over 150 startups as Co-Director of the Founder Institute. If I were not building this clinical AI infrastructure, I would probably be helping other entrepreneurs bring their healthcare technologies to the market.
5. At the moment, how do you measure success? What are your metrics?
We measure success by professional adoption and the tangible efficiency we bring to clinics. Currently, we have almost 1000 registered users, consisting of psychologists and patients. We also measure success by our ability to reduce the administrative workload of therapists by 40%, directly increasing their capacity for patient care.
6. In a few sentences, what do you offer to whom?
We offer a B2B SaaS platform for psychologists and mental health clinics, paired with a secure mobile app for their patients. We digitize the entire therapeutic process, automate administrative tasks like triage and monitoring, and provide a library of over 600 evidence-based clinical resources. This allows therapists to personalize interventions and improve patient adherence.
7. What’s most exciting about your traction to date?
The most exciting part is the immense institutional and clinical trust we have gained. We secured paying customers, including clinics, early in our development. Additionally, we have raised public and private funding, which includes a formal clinical trial project with the Hospital Clinico San Carlos in Madrid.
8. Where do you think your growth will be next year?
Next year, our growth will focus on transforming our current clinical validation into international commercial scale. Technologically, 2027 marks the deployment of our multi-agent AI ecosystem designed to proactively support therapists. Clinically, we will continue our trial with the Hospital to achieve our Medical Device certification. Commercially, we plan to solidify our presence in Spain and execute the first phase of our expansion into Latin America.
9. Tell us about your first paying customer and revenue expectations over the next year.
Our first paying customers were clinics who trusted our vision and helped us validate the platform before our full commercial launch. Regarding expectations, we project closing 2026 with over 100,000 euros in revenues, with a strong transition toward recurring SaaS sales, setting the stage for exponential growth by 2027.
10. What’s your biggest threat?
Our biggest challenge is navigating the strict regulatory landscape. We are developing Agentic AI to process clinical data, which requires us to certify Loomee as a Class IIa Medical Device under European MDR regulations by 2027. Adapting to these strict validation requirements is a hurdle, but it also creates a massive defensive moat against generic wellness apps in the long term.
