Startups across Latin America raised a combined $73.7M this week, based on disclosed funding rounds, with investor capital heavily concentrated in fintech. Funding also reached startups using AI for sales operations and digital tools to modernise school cafeterias across the region.

Here are the biggest disclosed startup funding rounds across Latin America this week.
/1. A5X, $69.9M, Fintech, Brazil
Brazilian derivatives exchange startup A5X raised R$360M, approximately $69.9M, in a Series D at a valuation of R$2.7B. The round was led by Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs and Kaszek, with existing investors including IMC Trading, Jump Trading, Optiver, XTX Markets and ABN AMRO Clearing also participating.
The company will use the funding to cover regulatory capital and operations as it prepares to launch its derivatives exchange in Brazil in the second quarter of 2027. Founded by former XP executives, A5X is building an alternative to Brazil’s existing derivatives market infrastructure.
/2. OrderEAT, $2M, Edtech, Mexico
OrderEAT raised a $2M seed round led by Chile Ventures, with participation from Driven VC, Add Ventures, Seedstars, and angel investors Sergio Fogel and Avedis Boudakian. Founded by Uruguayan entrepreneurs based in Mexico, the company now operates in more than 600 schools and serves over 250,000 active students across five countries.
