BEEWISE uses AI to assist in finding tutors, interviewing tutors, and creating materials and assignments from lesson content.
The project was carried out by a group of students from FPT University’s Ho Chi Minh City campus, including Nguyen Thi Tuyet Huong (project leader), Do Nhat Huy, Ngo Chi Vy, Tran Phi Yen, Huynh Thien Nhan, and Nguyen Minh Huan.
Three years as a tutor and the idea to build a tutoring platform using AI.

Having worked as a math tutor for three years, Nguyen Thi Tuyet Huong ( BEEWISE project leader) realized that both tutors and parents face difficulties in the teaching and learning process.
Based on that reality, she and her team developed BEEWISE, connecting tutors, parents, and students, while also applying artificial intelligence (AI) to support the management and personalization of the learning process.
“Tutors need a foundation to support their teaching, while parents need reputable tutors who can closely monitor their children’s learning progress,” Huong shared.
Huong said that in reality, the teaching and learning process involves many tasks such as exchanging messages, managing documents, assigning homework, and reporting results to parents. However, many tutors still have to use various separate tools to handle these tasks.
The project was launched in June 2026. Currently, the team is developing and refining the minimum viable product (MVP). By the end of the year, the team plans to continue developing the mobile application to help parents access the platform more conveniently.

Essentially, BEEWISE aims to support the entire learning journey, from finding tutors and connecting students with them to organizing classes and tracking their progress.
For example, a parent looking for a 9th-grade math tutor who can teach in the evenings simply needs to enter their request. The AI system will analyze the need and suggest suitable tutors.
After making their selection, parents can connect directly with the tutor through the chat window and receive support from the platform’s advisors. Once the class is confirmed, the learning process will be managed on the system.
With online classes, tutors and students can utilize tools integrated into the platform. After each lesson, AI can assist tutors in creating assignments or theoretical materials based on the tutor’s resources and the lesson content.
“This helps students practice and track their progress, while also reducing the time tutors spend preparing materials and assignments,” Huong said.
Instead of using multiple filters to find a suitable tutor, parents can describe their needs using a simple request form. The system will then use criteria such as subject, grade level, time, learning format, and related requirements to suggest tutors.
In addition, AI is also used to assist tutors in creating materials and assignments.
The system is expected to utilize two main data sources: documents and lesson plans provided by tutors, and the content of each lesson. From this, AI can assist in creating exercises and theoretical content that align with the curriculum the tutor is teaching.
After students complete the exercises, the system analyzes the results to identify areas where they are weak. From there, supplementary exercises can be created to help students improve on those areas.
“AI shouldn’t just create assignments, but also generate content that students can learn and do, while aligning with what the tutor has taught. If it can do that, the tool will truly be valuable to tutors,” the female student said.

Using AI to select tutors, aiming for a safety net for parents.
BEEWISE supports both online and in-person learning, aiming to build a safe and reputable network of tutors for parents.
Tutors are prioritized for selection based on their genuine passion for teaching, their background at universities, and their strong academic record.
The tutoring pool is built in two ways. Firstly, a group proactively approaches, communicates, and recruits at universities. Secondly, individuals who wish to become tutors can register directly on the platform.
Tuyết Hương said that each tutor will go through a profile building and interview process before being uploaded to the system. The platform also plans to apply AI in the interview process, thereby providing assessments based on a pre-established set of questions and criteria.
“Tutors will go through the application and interview process. During the interview, they will answer questions based on the platform’s criteria, after which the system will score them and provide feedback. The goal is to create a transparent process, limiting interference or personal favoritism,” she said.
Another aspect the team anticipates is the ability to systematically track learning progress. Besides tutors proactively reporting on their child’s progress, the platform plans to compile and evaluate student progress weekly or monthly and send the information to parents.
Through this, parents can not only know what their children have learned but also track their progress, identify areas for improvement, and monitor their progress over time.

No high commission charged to tutors, only a 20% fee to parents.
BEEWISE does not charge high commission fees to tutors like traditional tutoring centers.
BEEWISE plans to allow tutors to proactively set their desired fee. The platform will charge a fee for maintaining the profile and related services instead of directly deducting it from the tutor’s income.
Tutor profiles on the platform are also built as online pages, which can be used as a personal profile or portfolio. This fee is also used to maintain the platform and to support the tutor selection and interview process.
For parents, the platform plans to charge an additional 20% on top of the tuition fee quoted by the tutor. For example, if the tutor wants a fee of 100,000 VND/hour, the fee parents pay could be 120,000 VND/hour.
This difference is used to pay for services such as counseling, support for parents in the tutor selection process, classroom management, and tools integrated into the platform.
