The company said the fresh capital will be used to scale its customer base across India, strengthen its product suite and accelerate its AI-first approach to building products and teams.
Founded by Anil Goteti, Scapia operates a travel-focused financial platform that integrates travel services with financial products, targeting young, travel-oriented consumers. The company said it has seen strong growth in usage, with flight bookings rising 5–6 times and stays increasing around eight times compared with the previous year. It also noted a growing share of bookings from Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.
Scapia said a significant portion of the new funding will be directed towards brand-building and expanding its AI-native organisation, including hiring across engineering, product, data science and design roles.
Commenting on the fundraise, founder and CEO Anil Goteti said the partnership with General Catalyst, along with continued backing from Peak XV and Z47, validates the company’s strategy of building a comprehensive travel ecosystem around a financial core. He added that the focus remains on building products designed for a generation that increasingly views travel as a way of life.
General Catalyst India & MENA CEO Neeraj Arora said Scapia is building around emerging consumer behaviour, where travel is becoming a baseline expectation rather than an aspiration, and highlighted the company’s customer growth and product depth.
Peak XV Partners Managing Director Sakshi Chopra said Scapia is combining financial products with travel behaviour in a way that resonates with young consumers, while Z47 Managing Director Vikram Vaidyanathan highlighted the company’s pace of product development and focus on compliance.
Scapia has partnered with Federal Bank and BOBCARD to offer co-branded credit cards and was among the first in India to launch a dual-network card spanning Visa and RuPay. Its offerings include zero forex markup on international spends, airport privileges, and rewards-based products across travel and lifestyle categories.
In recent months, the company has expanded its ecosystem with products such as Scapia Pay, add-on credit cards, bill payment services via BBPS, and its rewards platform “Scapia Coins,” which can be redeemed across multiple travel-related services.
According to the company, one in three users now prefer shopping and dining benefits under its airport privileges programme, reflecting a shift in consumer usage beyond traditional lounge access.
