Its fintech startups have raised about $5.3 Bn across 254 deals since 2014, and Delhi NCR alongside Bengaluru has accounted for 76% of India’s total fintech funding deals over that period. The ecosystem benefits from investor access, regulatory proximity and a deep talent pool for scaling across consumer and enterprise segments.
Delhi NCR startups raised $917 Mn in H1 2026, holding second place among Indian hubs even after a 39% year-on-year drop, while deal count rose 16% to 134 deals. Fintech remained India’s most funded sector in H1 2026 at $1.3 Bn, and the region’s lending and paytech names remain central to that pool. The momentum had been building through the prior year, when fintech funding rose about 60% year on year to $1.6 Bn in H1 2025, and in full-year 2025 Delhi NCR startups raised $2.2 Bn or more across 224 deals to hold the number-two spot nationally.
The region’s fintech roster spans paytech, lending and insurance. Per Inc42 Datalabs, Paytm has raised about $4.9 Bn as India’s most-funded fintech, Pine Labs about $1.8 Bn, Gurugram’s PolicyBazaar about $942 Mn, Delhi-based BharatPe about $883 Mn (having launched India’s first UPI-interoperable QR code), Lendingkart about $340 Mn and MobiKwik about $243 Mn.
