Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Biopeak Co-founder and CEO Rishi Pardal said the company plans to open at least two more clinics during the current financial year after the launch of its 14,500 sq. ft. flagship facility in Bengaluru’s Indiranagar.
The company currently operates two centres and believes the new flagship, which combines advanced diagnostics, regenerative therapies and personalised preventive care under one roof, marks the beginning of its next phase of expansion.
Pardal said Biopeak’s clinics typically take 12 to 18 months to break even at the unit level, while the company expects it would require 8-10 clinics to absorb its central technology and operating costs and achieve organisation-level profitability.
He said learnings from the company’s first clinic shaped the flagship centre, leading Biopeak to expand beyond diagnostics into regenerative therapies, personalised treatment protocols and nutrition-focused interventions.
On customer demographics, Pardal said demand currently comes largely from older individuals seeking treatment for existing health issues, although he believes consumers in their late 20s and early 30s stand to benefit the most from preventive health interventions.
Addressing competition from wellness companies and wearable-focused platforms, Pardal said Biopeak differentiates itself by being “outcome-driven”, combining diagnostics, personalised treatment protocols, regenerative therapies and continuous monitoring instead of offering standalone wellness services.
The company also has no immediate plans to launch its own wearable devices. Instead, it intends to remain hardware-agnostic by integrating data from multiple consumer gadgets rather than developing proprietary devices.Pardal said the company is also exploring partnerships with insurance providers so preventive health programmes can eventually be covered under health insurance policies. Discussions are currently underway with multiple insurers.

Following its recent funding round, Biopeak’s post-money valuation stands at around ₹50 crore, Pardal said, adding that the company is in discussions for its next fundraise at a higher valuation.
Looking beyond India, Pardal said the company’s immediate focus remains the domestic market, although it sees long-term opportunities in markets with a large Indian diaspora, including Singapore, Dubai and the United States.
Biopeak also plans to continue expanding its multidisciplinary team of doctors, nutritionists, systems biologists and genetic scientists as it scales its operations.
