Frankfurt am Main (Germany), 27 February 2026 – AI entrepreneur Jonas Andrulis today introduced CNTR, the name under which his newly founded AI company will operate, and announced the appointment of Alejandro Molina as Chief Technology Officer. Molina joins from Apple and will relocate from the U.S. West Coast to Europe to lead the development of the company’s technology platform.
CNTR develops collaborative AI systems designed to integrate human ingenuity directly into agent-backed workflows and decision-making. The company focuses on complex industrial and organizational environments where automated systems alone are not sufficient and human judgment remains critical.
The CNTR brand: Centaur and Center
With the introduction of the CNTR name, the company also revealed the thinking behind its brand. The name refers to so-called “centaur chess”, where teams of humans and computers used to compete together and often outperform both humans and machines working alone. CNTR applies this idea to knowledge work and organizational processes, arguing that the next generation of AI systems will be built around structured collaboration between humans and machines rather than automation alone.
At the same time, CNTR can also be read as “center”, reflecting the company’s ambition to place human expertise at the center of AI-supported value creation and decision processes.

Humans are reduced to temporary gap-fillers. That’s a dead end—for the technology itself as well as for the companies that are putting their most valuable assets at risk: their teams and their culture. We’ve founded CNTR so that humans and machines can learn, make decisions, and solve problems together—not competing, but collaborating with each other.”
Alejandro Molina appointed Chief Technology Officer
Alejandro Molina, a renowned AI researcher and tech developer, joins CNTR as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). After completing his PhD in AI and pursuing intensive academic research, Molina spent the past several years on the U.S. West Coast driving innovation in generative AI systems and scalable machine learning applications at Amazon and, most recently, Apple. For his new role he will relocate to Europe to build the company’s technology platform together with the CNTR team.
“While language models are becoming a commodity, the role of humans — reduced to data labeling and manual AI review — is still stuck in the last era,” says Alejandro Molina. “CNTR is a fundamentally new approach that changes this. I consider this technology essential for the substantive breakthroughs of the future, and as a researcher, I find it incredibly inspiring.”
Jonas Andrulis founded CNTR in February 2026. Sole investor and strategic partner for the company’s build-up and scaling is the global consultancy firm Roland Berger. In addition to capital, the consultancy provides the process and industry expertise required to commercialize the technology. The leadership team with Andrulis and Molina is complemented by Roland Berger’s Global Managing Partner Stefan Schaible, who, in addition to this role, is Chief Operation Officer at CNTR.
