The Nclude Fund, a fintech-focused investment fund advised by DPI Venture Capital, has successfully closed with commitments exceeding US$112 million, marking a significant milestone for one of the region’s leading technology investment platforms. DPI Venture Capital serves as the venture capital arm of Development Partners International (DPI), a London-headquartered private equity firm with a strong focus on supporting high-growth businesses across Africa.
The fund is dedicated to investing in innovative technology companies throughout Africa and the Middle East, particularly businesses with the capacity to expand beyond their home markets and achieve global scale. By providing growth capital and strategic support, Nclude aims to help entrepreneurs build transformative companies capable of becoming regional and international leaders in technology and financial services.
Since its launch, the fund has assembled a portfolio of 15 companies, investing across the fintech ecosystem as well as in fintech-enabled enterprises and businesses operating at the intersection of financial technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and emerging technologies. Through these investments, Nclude seeks to accelerate digital transformation and advance financial inclusion, enabling greater access to financial services for individuals and businesses across underserved markets.
Nclude adopts a flexible investment strategy, supporting companies at various stages of development, from seed-stage startups to Series C growth-stage businesses. Investment sizes range from US$500,000 to US$10 million, allowing the fund to back entrepreneurs throughout their growth journeys and provide the capital needed for expansion, innovation, and market penetration.
Commenting on the achievement, Ashley Lewis, Managing Partner at DPI Venture Capital, emphasized that financial inclusion remains at the core of the fund’s mission.
The Nclude Fund is rooted in improving financial inclusion across Africa and the Middle East. We have built a portfolio that reflects this central investment thesis while expanding the reach of the fund’s mandate across the region.
Lewis added that surpassing the US$112 million mark significantly strengthens the fund’s ability to invest strategically in high-potential businesses.
At over $112 million, this fund gives us the firepower to invest with discipline and support ambitious founders as they grow from strong local businesses into regional technology leaders.
With substantial capital now secured, the Nclude Fund is well positioned to play a pivotal role in nurturing the next generation of fintech and technology innovators across Africa and the Middle East, helping scale businesses that can deliver both commercial success and meaningful social impact.
