EV fleet startup TOCAL secures Rs 9 Cr in seed round

EV fleet and fulfillment infrastructure company TOCAL has raised Rs 9 crore in a seed funding round led by XB Group, the parent group of K-Indev Logistics, with participation from Navyug Global Ventures and Nivetha Muralidharan.

The proceeds will be used to expand operations, establish strategically located fulfillment centres, scale its EV fleet and operational infrastructure, enhance fleet, warehouse and order management technology, and strengthen enterprise sales and strategic partnerships, TOCAL said in a press release.

Launched in 2021 by Dhairyasheel Deshmukh and Hidayathulla Shareef, TOCAL is a technology driven EV fleet and fulfillment infrastructure company enabling sustainable commerce through EV powered last mile delivery, fulfillment centres, and fleet management technology. The company is building an integrated logistics platform that helps businesses deliver faster, operate more efficiently, and reduce their carbon footprint.

As businesses seek faster fulfillment, more efficient deliveries, and sustainable logistics solutions, the Bengaluru based startup addresses these evolving needs through its integrated technology platform, which combines EV powered delivery services, fulfillment centres, fleet management software, and rider enablement into a single ecosystem. This enables brands to simplify their supply chain operations while improving efficiency, scalability, and sustainability.

Over the next four to five years, TOCAL aims to expand to more than 15 cities, deploy over 20,000 electric vehicles, operate 75 fulfillment centres, and partner with more than 1,000 brands.

It competes with notable players in the segment such as Zypp Electric, Shadowfax, LoadShare Networks, and Fyn Mobility.
