Gurgaon: Successful entrepreneurs are all set to serve as mentors to youths and explain how to set up a startup, raise it from the initial stage, access technical support and scale it.With six master classrooms and a dedicated startup room — where aspiring entrepreneurs can get guidance on building ventures from scratch — a hands-on introduction to entrepreneurship is coming up in the city on Friday.Chief minister Nayab Singh Saini will interact with young entrepreneurs at Gurgaon University, where Gen-Z entrepreneurs in the state will get a direct platform to learn from successful founders.The CM will also flag off ‘yuva udyami yatra’, under which two buses will travel across Haryana till Dec to take startup and entrepreneurship guidance to students. “Starting from the city, the buses will visit every district and reach students at colleges, universities, ITIs, coaching institutes and other educational institutions,” said an officer. A larger Gen-Z programme will be organised at the conclusion of the yatra, bringing together young people who benefited from the district-level outreach.The six master classrooms will each train groups of 50 young people. Participants completing the training will receive certificates and will subsequently be linked with MSMEs to gain practical exposure to how businesses and startups operate.The startup room will provide another avenue for one-on-one and group interactions. Around 60 successful entrepreneurs will guide participants on the practical aspects of launching a venture. Banks will provide information on loans and financing options, while experts from Skill University will offer technical and skill-based guidance.The programme is being jointly organised by higher education department, skill development and industrial training department, and industries and commerce department. Students will also be able to raise queries and seek information about funding, technical assistance and other support available to them.The initiative comes at a time when a growing number of young people are looking beyond conventional jobs and exploring entrepreneurship, technology and innovation.Saini has directed that the interaction with Gen-Z should remain informal and free of protocol. He is expected to stay among the participants and engage directly with young entrepreneurs and aspiring founders.Saini said the coming era belongs to new technology, innovation and new thinking and govt would extend support to young people seeking to build enterprises and create jobs.The CM has also directed officials to organise exhibitions during the yatra and ensure banks put up stalls to explain loan and financial assistance options. Participants will be told where they can seek further guidance after the outreach programme ends.
