Kanpur/Lucknow: The two-day AI Manthan scheduled at Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU) from Saturday will feature a range of startup stalls showcasing innovative applications of AI in agriculture, healthcare, education, climate, entrepreneurship and other sectors.“The initiative aims to provide a platform for startups to demonstrate AI-based innovations and highlight how emerging technologies can address real-world challenges,” said CSJMU vice-chancellor Prof Vinay Pathak. One of the startups is Nkosh Kisan AI, an AI-powered agricultural solution providing farmers with guidance on crop selection, sowing, irrigation, nutrition, pest and disease management and livestock care.Another one is D-Scan 360, a startup from Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University (RMLAU), Ayodhya, is a portable AI-enabled healthcare system designed for early identification of risks associated with diabetic neuropathy and diabetic foot. It combines EMG and vibration-sensation assessment with real-time edge AI to provide intelligent risk assessment, particularly for resource-constrained areas.Another interesting startup that will be on display is Firstpreneurs Tech Private Limited, incubated at Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur. The startup will present Young Researcher, a browser-based experiential learning and AI-literacy platform aligned with NEP 2020.There will also be an inhouse startup, CSJMU x IBM Bob Hacks ‘26 – that brings together a smart classroom system, an AI Posture Coach and an AI-powered virtual clinic. The posture coach provides real-time feedback on body posture, while the virtual clinic aims to improve access to basic healthcare services for rural and underserved communities.Similarly, a startup ‘Drona’, from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi is an AI-powered Education OS designed to help universities transition towards AI-enabled institutions. It provides personalised and curriculum-aligned learning for students, AI co-pilots for faculty and intelligent tools for teaching, assessment, analytics and administration.
