TAMPA, October 6 (Hypepotamus) – Tampa Bay Wave, a zero-equity accelerator that recently made national headlines as a top program in the country, is growing its portfolio with the announcement of its latest FinTech|X Accelerator cohort.
The New FinTech accelerator cohort, which is backed by the Regions Foundation and supported by the University of South Florida (USF) Muma College of Business, is made out of 13 companies coming to Tampa from across the US and the UK. The new cohort kicked off on October 5 and will provide these emerging FinTechs with “mentorship, industry expertise, investor relationships,” according to a press release.
Meet The Cohort
Startups selected for the Tampa Bay Wave accelerator include:
- Aequi (Ocala, Florida) – an equity management platform granting and tracking phantom equity — offering a competitive cash bonus incentive that is tied to the performance and growth of your company
- Alogram Inc. (San Diego, California) – providing Real-time, explainable intelligence for AI-driven fraud, payments, platforms, and agentic transactions
- Beem (San Francisco, California) – an all-in-one financial app
- BuildUp (Orlando, Florida) – payment infrastructure for local economies that helps merchants keep more revenue, rewards consumers for shopping local
- Flip & Floss (Bridgeport, Connecticut) – helping kids learn how to save and invest money
- LinqAlpha (New York, New York) – AI-powered investment research that turns fragmented data from global markets into a real edge.
- Mili (Wilmington, Delaware) – Purpose-built agents
- Milo (Morgantown, West Virginia.) – Milo shows you which accounts you don’t have yet but need, and gives you a spending plan to stay on track
- Moola Money (London) – A digital financial ally that helps millennials build financial confidence with personalized insights, goal-setting tools, and AI-driven recommendations.
- PayShore (Riverview, Florida) – gives finance teams a connected view of cash, incoming and outgoing payments, approvals, and reconciliation
- PredictQ (Saint Petersburg, Florida) – gives people an edge in predictions markets
- TradePolaris (London) – Financial risk and research terminal built for investment desks
- Zelody (Portland, Oregon) – a data orchestration platform for banks and financial services
Following the announcement, Linda Olson, CEO and founder of Tampa Bay Wave, said that FinTech|X is about helping early-stage startups build and scale.
