Actor and entrepreneur Kunal Kapoor has launched doctor led metabolic health platform MetaGO, which is designed to help people manage obesity and related metabolic conditions.
Kapoor has transitioned into tech entrepreneurship as the co-founder of Ketto, a crowdfunding platform. Launched in 2012, the social impact venture uses technology to connect donors with NGOs, individuals and organisations seeking funds for medical treatment or disaster relief.
Co-founded by Kunal Kapoor, Varun Sheth and Zaheer Adenwala, MetaGO is a doctor-led metabolic health platform focused on helping people address obesity through personalized care.
According to the Mumbai based startup, the platform combines metabolic assessments, personalised treatment plans, clinically appropriate GLP 1 therapies, nutrition guidance, fitness coaching and ongoing medical supervision into a single care model.
The company said that its experience working with thousands of families raising funds for serious medical treatment highlighted the financial and emotional burden of conditions such as type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity and related disorders.
MetaGO said that every member begins with a metabolic assessment covering more than 35 biomarkers, along with a detailed clinical evaluation. Based on these findings, an endocrinologist, diabetologist, cardiologist or internal medicine specialist develops a treatment plan tailored to the individual’s metabolic profile and health goals.
The startup follows a continuous care model in which doctors, coaches and users remain connected throughout the programme. According to the company, treatment plans are updated as members progress, with the long term focus on helping them maintain outcomes rather than only achieve short term results.
